Crazy noisy jazzrock.
Chromb! is a quartet from France that produces a jumpy, weird kind of rock. Rock without a guitar though, but with help of instruments like bass, reeds, 88 keys and drums. Chromb!’s music is heartfelt more than brain-made, and their distorted sound breaks all boundaries between styles. John Zorn, The Residents and Soft Machine are seen by the band as big influences.
Chromb! doesn’t only speak out their love for for catchy pop and fat noise, at the same time they use the freedom of jazz, the energy of rock, and the insanity of experimental music, in order to build a heavy mutant sound, in which melodies, screams, silence and weirdness come together in an organic way.
